I'm looking for one of those little pillows you put in your lap that has a hard "table-top" attached to it so you can read/write letters in bed. The pillow part goes in your lap and (if I remember correctly) was filled with bean-bag material. It was something Grandmothers or grade school kids always seemed to have around, like 20 years ago.

Anyone know what I'm talking about, and where I could buy one?

They are called a lap-desk, most department stores such as Walmart carry them, especially during the late summer with the Back to School items. Linens and Things and Bed Bath and Beyond have also carried them. Good luck to you,

ooo I have one of those. Go to a [good] fabric / arts and crafts store. Like Joann Fabrics. They'll hook you up. Those things are so clutch.
