Well my family started out with just one cat that showed up at our porch and then its brother…then the female kitten had kittens! We invited tehm inside and now we have two kittys around we gave the kittens away but now we have a third cat hanging around…it seems our energies pull the homeless kittys our way..anyone else have similar experiences?

Last December we had a cat come around, so we fed her and she has now become a member of our family with the name of Roxie. This summer her duties include patroling the yard and guarding our vegetable garden.

We think she was an indoor cat who has adapted very well to living outside; our eveidence of this is that she loves to be brushed, loves attention and cries to be dried off when she's wet. Further evidence is the fact that she was "violated" two and a half months ago and has shown no signs of pregnancy, which could only mean that she was spayed before.

We would like to let her come in, but we can't because she has killed so many critters since her arrival (15 mice, 4 ground moles, 4 chipmunks, 2 squirrels, 2 rabbits and even a bat), many of which she has left half-eaten :(

We had a cat scrounging around outside for food. Eventually we started feeding it regularly. Soon after that two other kittens showed up. They're all still too jitterly around people to be touched. So we've never invited them in. Lately, they haven't been eating much... maybe it's the heat? Kinda worrisome.

But yeah if food is left out they will come.

Honey: I used to have a lovely Main Coon, which a girlfriend persuaded me to adopt, but since I like to travel it was difficult to arrange sitters, although this sometimes gave me opportunities to ask my pretty neighbours for help which engendered their affections. Anyhow, when I got married, my wife acquired an allergy and it was the cat or her. I made the mistake of choosing my wife.

Well, now I have the morales of an alley cat and based upon you avatar I'm meoooooowing.
