My father would sit at the table with a dozen beer, a dozen eggs and a salt shaker. He would pour the beer into a glass, crack a raw egg and dump it in and a sprinkle of salt. No stirring, just down it. He repeated this with every beer. He drank beer like this until he was 99 years old. When he passed away, I lived on the opposite side of the country and couldn't get home on time (two days after 9/11) so we had a small private memorial at home, planted a tree in his Honor and then everyone had a toast to him with raw eggs and a beer. Somehow it just seemed appropriate.

The best I've had is Strongbow (Dry Cider) with Guinness, it's called a poor man's Black Velvet, since a true Black Velvet is champagne and Guinness. Any good dry cider will do, but the trick is to pour one then the other and do it slowly since both drinks react and foam up a lot. If you do it right you should have around 2 inches of head that will be thick and creamer with a sweet taste right behind the bitter Guinness.

It is not uncommon for Chinese to put beer into food and then cook it. Some put beer into hot pots and some pour beer over vegetables and then fry them. The beer is supposed to enhance the taste.

I remember seeing someone make beer floats in college.

Yes, they look as gross as they sound: beer with ice cream.
