No need to scare me into your beliefs. I am what I am, and you can't change that.

Logical, no need for labels.

Neither. You just live day to day.

You never stated what you expect after you die.

Since death comes as a thief in the night, maybe you should consider something else.

God reveals and man observes. "reason, ethics, and justice" are man observations: Some very noble, others not so noble.

What is missing is what do you belief, belief is not man observation. Like so many things that science (to know using the scientific method, facts to theories) can not explain, belief is something you have, but not necessarily know. For example, default values (those that you use but never evaluate).

In all the universe there will never be another like you. Maybe you will find the time to know yourself. Then you can apply labels like secular humanists or atheists (those without God).

Good luck.

A person, you said nothing of what you believe, or don't believe, you just don't seem to care. The closest thing I would associate you with would be an agnostic. An agnostic is one who usually says that they do not know if there is or if there isn't a God and does not hold a particular belief and many agnostics do not really pursue anything at all, they just live. If you said you do not believe in God, then you would be an athiest. I am not really sure what a secular humanist is, but I think you have to believe something here too.

Atheism is simply the absence of belief in God. Atheists need not be humanists.

Those who have no beliefs about the afterlife and who uphold reason, ethics, and justice, in my view, are best described as secular humanists.

Agnostic

at least in my opinion

you cannot be a Secular humanist because they do not believe in ethics and you did not say whether you flatly deny the existence of a Creator

If you don't believe in a higher power, then you are, by definition, an atheist.

A secular humanist believes in basic human values with no reference to spirituality.

You are both. So am I.

The Bible says that good works nor obeying laws will get you into Heaven. The only way out is to put your faith in Jesus to stand between you and God, and let Christ's blood he shed at calvary to make you clean of sin in God's sight. No matter what ethics you hold, it is not what determines where you will go when you die. It is by faith alone in Jesus.

I have to say this, you SHOULD care what happens after you die! Afterall, that's what we're here for. (kinda like a test is what I say) What you do here on earth, affects where you go in the afterlife. Do you think we all go to the same place? Think about it for a minute. Does a murderer or child molester have the same rights as you?? Or how about Mother Teresa compared to a murderer like "Helter Skelter"? Do you think they have the same rights to get into heaven? I don't think so. I think you should rethink what you said and CARE! od bless you.
