My brother thinks that it's a smart idea to drink protein powder instead of eating actual food. Now's he's planning to buy vitamin pills instead of eating vegetables. I would like to know if this is in any way healthy? And is it healthy at all to take all those artificial supplements in any situation? Isn't it possible to reach the same goal without changing your whole diet into artificial foods?

Actually meal replacements do work to reduce weight, and some, not all, are very healthy. The brand I used was Shapeworks, I lost 95 lbs in 8 months, and have kept it off for over 4 years now. I am healthy as ever. If he is looking for a good site for healthy meal replacements, here is where I got mine: www.loseweightnow.com/tfward . I also take a supplement to help me get in the amount of vegetables and fruits that I am supposed to have...same site
