darksphyx is wrong about the rib count differing, check out a book on anatomy. If it was that easy to tell the forensic coroners would not have such a hard time determining the sex of skeletons as they do.

The earliest Christian commentaries (written in the 2d century) on the previous testomony particularly push aside a literal examining of the creation account in Genesis, and St. Augustine of Hippo, in the time of the 5th century, went so some distance as to declare that people who study the creation account so even have been ''silly.'' The Epistle of Barnabas (c. one hundred fifty advert), which became into hailed via Clement of Rome, even designates the creation tale greater as prophecy than history. seem for the deeper meaning at the back of issues once you study Christian Scripture. as an occasion, the Hebrew notice for the ''rib'' that God took from Adam can be used to describe a helping beam in a house or construction. The previous expression states that ''at the back of each good guy, you will detect a good woman.'' Genesis has many classes to teach approximately life and humanity's courting with God and with one yet another. it is not a technology e book, neither is it meant to be study as one.

your question really lacks of fundaments.

Left does not mean sinister in the way you talk about it, God created both and called his creation "good" according to the bible. And, supposedly God created Eva to protect Adam, that's why the idea of her being made by one of his ribs, what do ribs do? protect vital organs.

The hebrew word for rib, is the same word used for side or storage room in the temple later build. We translated the word there as rib, Gods original word though leaves room for more then just that explination.

I heard God held it over a fire and invented BBQ Ribs. Of course, this could be pure fiction... rather like the Bible really.

from the right side, which is why men have 13 ribs
God didn't take a bone from man's foot, so man can't tread all over women. God didn't take a bone from man's head, so women can't trample over man. He took it from man's side so man would walk with women, and from under his arm so man would cuddle and protect woman.
