I usually walk then jog and so on, I try to keep that up for at least 20 minutes per session, i just would like to hear a few ideas to pass the time while running and the tv doesn't work for me or music. If there is something i can keep in mind or eat for more energy please help.

In the winter time, I have to do my jogging and/or speed walking in my basement, (its a big circle) so I needed to figure out how many steps it takes, to do a mile.
For my stride its about 1987, so I just round it out to 2000 steps per mile, for everybody.
So I had to count every step I took, up to 10,000 steps for 5 miles.
And I never liked any form of cardio, no matter what you do (music, TV) it is long and boring.
However I found that counting the steps, keeps me focused more, keeps my pace and it seems less boring.
Do not count up to 2000 per mile, (you might lose track) do them in sets of 100, and keep track with a pen and paper, (or the back of your hand) with a little slash (/) being 100.
And when you get 20 slashes (or 4 groups of 4 with a slash through it, to count as 5 each) you will have a mile done.
I use this technique outside when I run too, and with a stationary bike (I count how many pedals I do).
It really works for me, give it a try it might work for you to.
Good Luck

well what can work is thinking about something you really like, or plan something out for u to do the next day. Or sometimes wen u jog u can also maybe make up a story or a poem in your head. talkin out loud may look a lil crazy but its better than nothing right.. good luck

Me, I listen to baseball games and talk radio. They involve your mind at least a little bit, and if you can avoid the highly partisan radio broadcasts, you don't have to get yourself worked up in a bad way.

Additionally, I sometimes just shut off the radio altogether and debate philosophy with myself. That sounds a bit pretentious, I know, but believe me, it makes the time fly by.

Put on a porno and pretend you are chasing them.
Or put on a gay porno and imagine you are running from them.
