Good question Mimi.

Your first answer is a good one, but if you aren't athletic already you might hurt yourself. Here is what I suggest:

1. Walk 1 hour 6 days per week
2. Spend day 7 in the gym stretching and doing light upper body toning exercises
3. No bread
4. No potatoes
5. No pasta
6. No corn
7. No carrots
8. No sugar
9. No sodas
10. Drink lots of water

Good Luck

Two very important things to concentrate on: what you eat and exercise. If you change those things for the better, you will have results. Since your only trying to lose a little weight, i recommend not making to drastic of changes in either area. Otherwise, if the exercise is too much and the food fulfilling, you may feel it is too hard and quit.

Don't eat anymore potatoes, whatever you do, and try to stay away from pasta too. No more junk food, sorry. The best way to keep motivated is to record how much you weigh each Monday so you can see the gradual progress. It's okay to weigh yourself everyday as well, but with everyday fluctuations, and retaining water, losing the water you were retaining, etc will make your progress seem less than it is. Also, if you don't wish to retain a lot of water, then drink a lot of water. Your body won't feel the need to hold on to extra water if it is already receiving plenty of water.

Exercise 3-5 days a week. Don't push yourself too hard or you may give up, and increase the amount of exercise you do, or how hard you do push yourself (or both) a little bit each week. depending on how much your trying to lose, this method may only take you 3-5 weeks. Good luck with that. I should do that too lol -_-'

try cutting down on the junk food and really watch your intake of fat and calories. Also do some exercise. Riding a bike will help firm up your legs and I have this work out video. It's so much fun its Crunch Dance Party. It is fun and really burn those calories. Oh and keep track of what you drink to stick to water and diet soft drinks. you will see a difference.

Eat a healthy diet consisting of fruits and veggies, lean mean, and whole grain, and exercise. Get an exercise ball, there are great workout videos that go with them and there are really easy exercises for all these areas.

You may not be overweight, just untoned. Exercise will distribute your weight more evenly.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
