My mom met my dad and got married. They of their own free will had sex and had my oldest brother. They could have chosen not to at the last minute and not had him. Now what happens here is a female egg is fertalized by a sperm carrying an X or Y chromosome, this determined that he was my brother not my sister. Now, his cells assembled by chemical stimuli, which we can identify, to become certain body parts. He was born with certain qualities in his frontal brain lobe determining his personality. It was also affected by the way he was raised. He is smart because he was taught by other people and experience, he is strong because he worked and and exercised, and he is alive because his body's organs are working to keep him so alll the time. At what point did God play into this equation? Sorry for any offense I've caused.

Ok, my mom's womb was put together by mitosis of cells assigned to become a womb by a chemical signal just like every other organ. And the body runs on electric and chemical signals of the nervous center that are controlled by the brain and spinal chord, nothing supernatural about it. And how do you reason that this happened by chance? And I said I didn't mean any offense, maybe a little shock value in the question to get attentio and I got more than one answer, sorry if I come off as arguementative, I just need some one to explain the religious reasoning, and if some one had solid proof you WOULD change my mind, I'm not a bigot.

By the way, it can't be done in a tube because tubes don't have an ambilicle cord or the other components needed to sustain and embryo.

Actually as a buddhist having dominion over the planet doesn't comfort me, I don't consider mysefl superior to the other forms of life occupying the planet.

Sorry again about the air of the question, I know I can't say for sure that any deity doesn't exist, I've just had some heated debates lately and was a little overzealous, really just meant it so I could better understnd the logic of religion on this subject.

The Sufis say;
Your mom didn't create you, her womb was only the incubator.
You are the champion sperm whose cells then divided and made the heart first then everything else. The cells did everything.
The knowledge is in the cells. And it is not separate from you.
The human is the masterpiece of all God's creations. In all the universe there is nothing more complex than the human being.
And science barely understands a tenth of it.

What makes a seed grow? The knowledge inside it.
The creative life force that makes everything grow is God.

Nothing in what you've said qualifies as "proof" to me...

God protected your mom and dad, allowed them to be alive until the time they conceived.
God helped them to become the people they were, so they would be attracted to each other, drew them to one another and gave them opportunity to love each other.
God put in each of them a desire to be intimate.
God chose the exact sperm and egg that would be united, and caused them to conceive at that moment, not on a previous or later time, so you (or your brother) would have the exact features you later developed.
God protected your mom while she carried you and protected you/your brother to be able to develop.
etc., etc., etc .

He is involved in every part of the process. Just because science has come to understand the mechanical/chemical processes God designed doesn't mean He is any less involved.

Yes, aren't you glad God designed us to have organs that keep us alive? And aren't you glad God gave us the ability to procreate? And aren't you glad that God didn't allow you to become stillborn? And aren't you glad we as humans have the most intelligent intellects out of all species here on earth? Aren't you glad we've been given dominion over the whole entire planet. No other creature on this planet is more powerful and inteelgigent as man, You should be glad this gift came from God.

So, who created your parents?
Or,
If you go all the way back to the beginnings of evolution, what was the first living being? No living creature on earth originates from a non-living thing.
Or,
What differentiates a stillborn baby from normal baby? It's got all the parts, it was created by its parents, why can't they make it work, if they are the creators?
Or,
I have my faith, I can't ever use it to prove yours, that's up to you. Louis Pasteur met a kid like you on a train once. Without knowing who he was talking to, the kid approached the old man with the rosary and admonished him for having faith in something that science had done away with. Can you imagine the look on his face when he read the name on the card handed to him? Yes, that Pasteur, whose name is on every carton of milk on the planet.
Or,
None of us chose to be created. But we're here. And we're individuals. And we're together. And we can try to understand it. Or we can try the alternative.

As wonderful as my mother was, she could not have created a human being on her own. She carried me and fed me for nine months, but God had created me in the womb. Mom didn't do that portion of the miracle.

You have the biology steps mentioned, briefly, but the miracle, as it stands, is God's work. You are the result of that work, you are loved.

Do you not understand? God has everything in order. Every minute of every day. Of course God planned your parents free will of having your oldest brother. Everything is planned by him. I don't however see the proof that God didn't create you....HE DID!!! God made everything, including the chromosomes you're talking about. So, tell me, how do you figure that you weren't created from God??

who designed the sperm and egg and gave them the ability to join and grow into a human?
what you describe is a biological process, and if all you are is a lump of skin, bones and internal organs then you are obviously a very boring creature. as for me I have a mind, a personality and a soul and that is what makes me a human. I thank my Heavenly Father for that, and acknowledge my earthly Mum and Dad for conceiving, giving birth to and raising me.

Your little argument actually just proved that God created you because there is no way that all happened trillions of times in the past 10,000 years just by chance.

Don't apologize for offending anyone, this is still America isn't it? Very well said, I'm sure this question will stir up the bible thumpers. You seem to have a good understanding about the facts of creation and evolution. Very refreshing, thank you.

if its all biology and chemistry-- why cant it be creqted in a test tube??? you can recreate the womb... maybe the chemicals-- you cannot create the life.. want proof--- see how many scientists out there have been able to produce life from "scratch"
