Holy Water is made holy by:
A) Obtaining pure distilled water.
B) Obtaining blessed salt. Plain sodium chloride that has been previously blessed by a priest asking that God bless it.
C) Putting the two ingredients together and having a priest ask God for His blessing upon the water. Then it's Holy. What we ask for from God in Jesus' Name, we get.

Holy Water is not to be sold. NO holy item may be sold. That is the sin of simony. Look it up. Any item made and sold for religious purposes may be sold and blessed, but only AFTER the sale may it be blessed. Only then does it become holy.

The closest you can get to selling holy water is the sale of Lourdes water. Small bottles filled at the spring at Lourdes can be purchased. But since they are not blessed they are not truly holy, just water from a spring where miracles of a medical kind have been shown to have happened. Bless that Lourdes water and it becomes blessed Lourdes water, NOT the holy water that is used in the Church for blessing other things, including you. THAT water MUST contain blessed salt. Lourdes water doesn't.

Atreyu is sweet, you will possibly desire to no longer be contacting the spirit worldwide without tips from an skilled non secular medium. Goodness is conscious what you will possibly be able to call up by capacity of using that component. Pendulums (in my journey) do no longer paintings o.k. because of the fact those commonly are pushed extra by capacity of your subconscious then any spirit. The tape recorded looked like a notably good thought, yet it extremely is equipped which you have relatively some supernatural pastime on your place. the different passing voices my no longer be picked up. And possessed next time? Did somebody get possessed final time? reason in the event that they did, your in all likelihood no longer coping with an uneventful spirit. in case you desire to maintain experimenting, get a nicely cautioned non secular medium to come back supervise it. And be careful, there are various phonys accessible. good success!

That's funny stuff! The frightening thing is how many folks will run out of their trailers to buy this stuff! There's a guy on TV who's a preacher sending people "Miracle Holy Water" for free - though it's not by the bottle.

Don't laugh at me... there is a Catholic supply store in downtown Indianapolis... and I had just finished reading all of Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles... and watching a bunch of vampire movies... I did consider going to the supply store and asking if I could buy some.

My gf recently tried to get me to go there and ask them how much it costs per gallon.

I wouldn't buy it. I am not from a religion that believes in such things. Now, if I start seeing vampires("real" undead ones, not the people with the vampire clothing fetish) walking around, I will probably reconsider.

The web site is NOT Catholic, but run by con artists. the other answerers are correct. Holy water is free in Catholic and Episcopal churches.

Ex. 29:4; Lev. 8:6 - Aaron and his sons were washed in holy water in their consecration to the priesthood. Thus, we see the use of holy water during the beginning of salvation history.

Ex. 30:18-19 - the Lord requires Aaron and his sons to wash their hands and feet in holy water before they offered sacrifices to Him. The Church uses holy water for various purposes, and holy water fonts are generally located at the entrance of Catholic churches to be used before the sacrifice of Christ is offered to the Father.

Num. 5:17 - here again, the priest uses holy water. God uses natural matter to convey the supernatural, just as God who is Spirit became flesh in Christ Jesus.

Num. 8:7 - the Lord says to "sprinkle them with the water of remission." The Lord uses water, a physical property, to convey His supernatural property of grace.

1 Kings 7:38-39 - in King Solomon's temple, there were ten large basins of holy water. Holy water has always been used in the context of worship.

John 9:6-7 – Jesus uses clay and spittle to heal the blind man’s eyes, and ordered him to wash in the pool of Siloam to effect the cure. Jesus did not need to use spittle, clay and water, but He does to demonstrate that God uses the material things He created to give graces and heal us.

John 13:4-10 - the Lord uses water to wash the apostles' feet to prepare them for their sacramental priesthood.

John 19:34 - water and blood flowed from Jesus' pierced side on the Cross. The Church uses holy water as a symbol of our Lord's life giving water that flowed from His sacred Heart, and as the property which brings about the power of Jesus Christ Himself, in baptism, the Eucharist, and other sacred rites of the Church.

People who call the use of holy water "evil" are usually of the fundie cult variety who think they know their bible.

According to the new testament, "Holy Water" became obsolete when Jesus established the new covenant. I wouldn't buy it for a plug nickle.

that really sucks. in Bible book stores I've seen them selling bottled water with "For those who thirst" labeled on the front. I bet Jesus will have a word or two for the producers of this crap.
