She is my best and closest friend now. I was a holy terror growing up but when I got clean and sober I got to know her all over again and she is the coolest! I'm 38, she's 71, and we do lots of stuff together. My husband loves her too & so do all my friends. I'm sorry I wasted all those years but grateful to have her now.

My mum has passed away now but when she was with us my brother and I both felt we could talk to her about any thing.Yes anything she would never judge us just give us advice and good ear and a strong shoulder as well.Quit often we would turn up with the same Easter egg for each other. if it was somebody birthday we would have the same card for that person but even if we did not shop together. Come mothers day and after I had my first child mum got me a mothers day gift as well. One year we brought the same dressing gown for one another.

But we never made the mistake of saying we were friends she was my mum and said any body can be your friend. Being a mother is more important then that. She was also a like a 2nd mum to most of my and my brothers friends. every body who knew my mum all had high regard for her.

My Mom and I were close when I was a child. When I hit the teenage years; there were a lot of conflicts and tension between us. After I almost died at 21, we finally became closer than ever. We have remained that way since. I truly believe girls and their mothers have a lot of trouble getting along all the time. Especially during the teen years. Mothers and daughters are so much alike (w/out admitting or realizing it), that it is a continuous struggle to stay happy with each other.

YES. It was rough at times during teen years but now that Im a mom she has become my best friend. I do not get to see her much these days because we live far apart, but we talk everyday on the phone and internet and I miss her, she misses seeing my kids too. Your mom is someone you should never take for granted because someday she will be gone. Make the best of your time together...

My mom and I have a great relationship because we take time to talk every day about everything. She is the greatest person Ive ever known. If you want to have a great relationship with your you have to talkto them. Take time out to spend time withthem. Do things you both can enjoy. If your mom is demeeing to you or overly judgemental let her know you want to be close with her and she has to ease up a bit or she'll lose your friendship. Im not sure what your situation is...or if you even have one, but communication can get you through anything.

no, because i grew up without her, and now that i met her as an adult i can't seem to have a good relationship with her due to her past problems with my dad. So if you grew up with yours try and work whatever it is that it's stopping you from having a great relationship with her, at least you know that she loves you and you had her growing up, I didn't. And i wish a had an i love you or a hug from her as a child.

I personally have a GREAT relationship with my Mom. We didn't use to when I was young and thought I knew everything. But now we are best friends. We share everything with one another...dreams, frustrations, laughs and more importantly LOVE.

Not usually .. I have 2 other siblings and feel like sometimes she likes them more.. it may just be me being jealous .. and sometimes she just says really mean things to me and she doesnt think it hurts but it does... i try to just get over it and be nice to her though because u only have one mom and it should be special... i think its because shes so stressed from work

Nope, she screw me over time and time again. I stopped trying to have a relationship with her when she tried having my oldest son taken away from me simply because he is bi-racial. Nothing says love like first bleeding your daughter's savings account dry and calling DHS on bullsh*t lies!!
