make sure your friend is over her and that he is cool with it first. Most girls just don't date their friend's ex's. I think its a no no. but then again you never know she may be the one for you.

im 15,exactly 2 weeks.my brother had a girl for 4 months they broke up his friend asked her out he was cool with it.my brother is also 15.good luck.

Go take your best friend out for ice cream and mention that you are going to ask his ex out. and then decide if you need a best friend or a girl friend more.
