you got to be kidding. worst case scenario - it pierces into your blood stream, and enters your main circulation, goes back to your heart, which first pumps blood out to your lungs, where it can cut up your lung vessels. Afterwards, it goes back to your heart, and it gets pumped to any of your end organs, including your brain.

Moreover, it can cause a tear in any of your blood vessels, and if it does this in a large vessel, it will result in massive internal bleeding.

Additionally, as others have pointed out, it can cause an infection. Any thing that tears the skin and especially something sharp will cut deep. What that does is it takes the normal bacteria on the skin (called normal flora) and introduces to the deep skin and tissue area, which can then cause immense harm. There are some skin bacteria that turn into flesh eating bacteria in the right conditions.

Bottom line: You need to go in to the ED (Emergency Department) and get an X-RAY to make sure where it is and get it removed immediately. They'll probably start you on a broad spectrum antibiotic as well.

If you can stand it long enough, it will work itself out probably. OR, it could get infected which won't be any fun at all.

Either get a doctor to remove it or soak your foot in hot salt water, then have a bottle of H2O2 and a sterile needle and go to work.

Good luck

you might wanna take a 20min stop at the doctor they'llnthen tell you if it needs to be removed (they'll probly do it then) or to leave it

get it checked cuz you might get tecnus (a.k.a lock jaw) and you can die from that

Well, I would think that you could get an infection. It will hurt worse every minute that it's left in there.
