Every time you donate blood they give you free donuts. Your body benefits from this because it needs to restore lost blood sugar. If you donate a lot, then that adds up to lots of free donuts, and you know what happens then...

I did donate blood once and it would really makes you fat. The reason is because for a short while, you have drain most of your blood out during a donation time. And when your body wanted to recover or replenish your blood, they would use alot energy and use your body resources to pump blood back into areas of your body. Often doctor or nurses would give you iron pills to helps you with the replenish of blood. Erm.. i eat that too, and i really gain weight for some reason.s

I dont really have a response as to how healthy it is to donate plasma regularly, but I just had to say... Forunae, to write such a sprawling denounciation of plasma donation, and to attribute the law of GOD in your reasoning, you must be seriously disturbed. I'm a Pastor and I have a degree in divinity from Harvard, so please trust me when I say that you're sorely mistaken. Donating plasma saves thousands of lives every year. I normally don't comment on these boards, but your diatribe was so full of ignorance and passionate, blatant stupidity that I felt compelled to set you straight. Although I'm sure it will do no good. Someone like you will most likely not change their beliefs until death. Don't be firm in your interpretation, remember that the Bible is a living, breathing thing, and to put it into black and white terms is ignorance of the highest degree. good day Miss, (i assume you are a woman?)

Nah. Someone brought up an interesting point about donating blood the other day to me. He said that he used to give it all the time when he was younger until he found out that if he ever needed blood, he'd have to pay for it. Why are we all DONATING our blood if the people it's going to are going to be CHARGED for it? I'd rather sell my blood...Of course, I don't know if that's actually true. I've never needed blood, so I don't really know if I'd be charged for it.

umm. bloodcenters.org.

DONATING will save up to 3 lives. 1 donation as long as 10-20 minutes will save just 3 lives. that's a lot of heart, charity, love. DONATE!!!!!!!

NO! Just choose a healthy snack after donating. Hopefully your blood bank has good stuff like popcorn or Cheetos like mine does. (It's not like Cheetos are health food, by the way!)

that's a falsehood your body only rejuvenates the blood that has been donated besides blood cells die everyday inside you body and the body replaces them if that where the case we all would be obese

At first I thought that was a stupid question, but Paul is right, they always feed you really high calorie sweet stuff so you'll go back. Head-slap!
