No, wars must be dealt with in the utmost speed and efficency, many times you do not have the luxury of waiting weeks and months for a decision to be made, it must be made rapidly.

I think that having the American vote would be good for political leaders to consider when making such a serious decision as war, but there is so much intelligence that we are not privy to, that voting on a war based solely on our desire to keep peace would be a fallacy.
Besides...the majority of Americans stood with Bush on the war we declared after 911 to claim justice for our slain people.

Involvement in a war could be put into an election if it is required under the law. Legislation on this matter must be made for American to vote to be involve in war.

i think it is stupid. do you want every 18 year old voting to go to war or not? do you want people who couldnt describe the branches of gov. to vote on war? there is no way to tell everyone everything you need to know to make decisions such as war or not. do you want people who would vote for al sharpton for president to decide wether america goes to war? do you want all the rejects of society who have the privilige(it is not a right in the constitution) to vote, voting on the US going to war?

No, because you have people who vote now who really have no business voting because they are so unintelligent. Of course, that's their right, though. There are some people I know who vote who I wouldn't want voting on going to war or not.

That would be stupid, look how long it takes to vote for the President. Not to mention I think that would cause a US war of the people and that could be messy.

Hell no (and I'm even a "liberal"). The average intelligence of most Americans is sub-par. Granted, the average intelligence of most of our Senators isn't much better, but at least they (for the most part) are educated in foreign affairs and have access to more intelligence information than the average, unintelligent American.

When the voting process in place becomes fine tuned or concurrent? Wouldn't that be another super mess?

Bad idea. In order for us to to be able to make informed decisions on things like that, we would need to see confidential information. If we could see that info, then so could the enemy.

Since when does voting on anything make any difference? "If voting changed anything it would be illegal!"
