Do you really know Jesus as your Savior? I just pray for all those who believe in that crazy stuff...it's obvious Evolution is not real. God created us...it's that simple.

In Christ,
Sabrina

Hold on here a second. Why can't you beleive in Evolution AND be a Christian?

I believe in God, but I don't swallow EVERY word in the Bible literally. First off it was written by human hands. INSPIRED by God, sure..but still very human hands indeed.
Secondly, those words have been translated and interpreted by MORE HUMANS...again, a very falible and all to easily influenced lot we are.
Thirdly...one cannot simply dismiss the obvious evidence out there that our planet is WAY older than so many Creationists would have us believe, science has been shown to be true more often than not...even the Catholic church as had to eat crow on several occassions, and DINOSAURS ACTUALLY DID EXIST!

What happens to the human body after it dies?
It begins the process of decomposition. A few hours after a person or animal dies, the joints of the body stiffen and become locked in place. This stiffening is called rigor mortis. Depending on temperature and other conditions, rigor mortis lasts approximately 72 hours. The phenomenon is caused by the skeletal muscles partially contracting. The muscles are unable to relax, so the joints become fixed in place.

This only lasts about 1-3 days if left in their natural state.

The body's fluids will have begun to escape through any orafice available.
The fat will eventually begin to liquify and the muscle tissue begins to disintigrate.

From DUST TO DUST baby!

Now if you mean the SOUL, well that's a very different subject indeed. But you didn't ask that.

I could put it in many quotes from Scripture but I will just state what I believe, and you can find the quotes yourself.

I believe as was quoted in another question recently, that God made us in His/Her image and likeness but we must discover what that likeness is. As John says, we are the sons of God but we must discover what that means: what it means to be the son (or daughter) of God.

When we die, that doesn't change this fact. Little by little we need to discover our spiritual being as the image and likeness of God which is totally good and spiritual.

Therefore, evolution is a theory about the carnal man or the old man as Paul says. We can believe it or not but still we have the job of discovering the new man or God's image in ourselves and others.

okay, the idea of evolution is soud. but only if your talking ablut evolution of kind. evolution of kind is in the bible. what is not sound thinking is that a fish or an ape or some other creature evolved into us. oh and the theory of big bang, that started because God created us from the dirt of the Earth, that's in the Bible too. no bang, just a big booming voice. the theories of science are not original, the Bible gave the basis for all ideas or the events that led to the Bible being written.

Evolution is a science that studies the fossil record. IT IS NOT A RELIGIOUS BELIEF. The study of evolution has nothing do do with God creating the human soul.

Truths of science do not contradict the truths of faith, unless you belong to some fragmented branch of Christianity that shuts its eyes to reality.

As far as those who die and do not believe in god, God will be the judge of their souls, not individualistic opinions of the meaning of selected bible verses. Those who think they can do God's job are fragmented cults that don't know what they are talking about, and interpret the Bible to their own destruction, as history has proven.

What makes you think that Evolution was not part of God's divine plan? Do you think that everything that is written is the bible is supposed to be taken literally? It isn't. When the bible says how the world was created in 7 days, what makes you think that 7 days to God is the same as 7 days to us? Don't be an ignorant Christian. It gives the rest of us a bad name.

Evolution and life after death has nothing to do with each other. Evolution effects a race (like the Human race) or species.

After you die - it is to do with an individual - you, me or another human or an animal. I believe in reincarnation - others might believe in something else. Up to the individual to believe what that person believes is right.

Geez, you're ignorant.

Evolution is a process whereby species change over time due to the pressures of natural selection.

What the hell does that have to do with the death on an individual?

When an organism dies, its organic matter decomposes. It's simple as that.

Maybe you should stop listening to what those ecclesiastical sods are brainwashing you with and should instead pick up a textbook.

Evolution is a theory, meaning it is an unproven idea. I'm keeping an open mind as I think it's possible. What happens to you after you die is unknown whether you believe in God or not.

I believe in evolution. And after we die, our minds or "souls" as you christians like to call them die along with the brain. Then our body disintegrates over a period of time (sometimes taking centuries) until everything becomes molecules, then these molecules will eventually become part of another human or animal or plant in the future.

a) believing in God does not mean that you can't believe in evolution.
b)You get buried, and decompose. Just like a Christian or anyone else.
What does evolution have to do with it?
If you believe you have a spirit, or soul, or ghost or whatever, and that there is some magic place up in the clouds where only people who believe EXACTLY as you do get to go play harps or whatever, then enjoy.
