There should be eleven...the last should say...'Thou shalt not force thy religion unto others.' Meaning, like me, I don't want to be preached to after I told you I don't want to join your damn religion. Don't go on telling me your way is right and you know it's real because you can 'feel' it, maybe you have gas or need to see a doctor, i really don't fricken care okay? Let me and my religion be. Thanx.

If you have another religion than where do the 10 commandments fit in it, anyway? There are actually closer to 700 commandments. The 10 you refer to were given to Moses to give the Isrealites, but are also for Christians today. The first 5 deal with one's relationship to God, the last five with our relationship with each other. You have to decide what and who you believe in, but rudeness is not necessary. You can disagree and walk away, but someday you will be judged for your beliefs or lack of. Jesus loves you either way!!!

Well, ultimately, the idea was that there would really be only one religious sect following the Ten Commandments. (YES< ONE SECT, NOT ONE RELIGION, so everyone CALM DOWN and re-read it) Since each religion is unique, the basic belief system may be similar, yet the details are what cause confusion.
But I agree, you should be entitled to worship as you see fit without anyone else's intevention. That is a personal bond between you and your God or gods or whomever you choose to worship. And hopefully everyone can eventually get along without fanatics someday soon.

There is no problem with the ten commandments but with you. I don't want you to join my religion, I just want you to meet one person and that person is Jesus, you see is not a religion what I preach I care less about religion, religion doesn't saved you but Jesus does and He will give you that peace and love that you and everyone want seek and no one can give,Jesus love you and so do I.

well. Miss Brilliant. If you were to join, you would find out, there is 11 commandments. hahahhahahahahaha

read the Bible, you will find the Royal Commandment, or 11th commandment.

Now. IF you can read good enough, you will find out there is actually 12 not 11.

Trust me when I say, YOU qualify in great need of membership, quick like.

God Bless You.

Hey when a person pushes religion on someone it just draws them away. When your time is right you will be called. Weather you answer the calling or not is up to you. But when people push religion on to someone when they ask them not to. That's not right. Don't listen to them. Listen to what your insides are saying. from other people only process the good words that help. Best wishes. W.W.J.D.

The problem isnt with the Ten commandments..the problem is people always trying to make you change to their religion. Just say politely no I don't want to hear about your religion.
They are just doing what they think is right, so you think your religion is..turn it on them...lol

ooook, ummmm in the bible god punished those who did not believe in him and those people instead worshiped a golden cow. so basically he said that there is only one god. I agree that some people are taking there religion too far but then again, why shouldn't they have the same freedom of speaking their mind?

I agree. I hate it when they push their religion on me and telling me that I'm going to hell, just because I don't agree with your religion. Stop trying to cram it down my throat, don't tell me that you will pray for me, and all that jazz. If I ask you to pray for something, that's different, other than that, leave me alone!!

No. My Father-in-Law always said that the Eleventh Commandment should have been, "Thou shalt not tempt."
