I often feel like I need reality checks. This is when someone tells me that I'm way off track in my thinking. So I do a self-diagnostic. I ask myself if anyone is being hurt by my thinking or conduct. If the answer is "no," I go to the next question: "Is there a better way that I can accomplish what I want to do? If the answer to the second question is "no," or I cannot see a better alternative, I hold to my course of action.

Many of us have been taught that it's not advisable to be "different" or to stray from the opinions of others. We are taught not to trust our own understanding. It even says so in the Bible. This is destructive advice. The only thing that is trustworthy is our heart's true and noble desires. For the most part, we are deemed to be "crazy" by the standards of those who do not understand our motives, orientation, conditioning or training.

The good news is, that if you are concerned about being crazy, you're most likely of sound mind.

Most of the time I simply believe that I am merely eccentric but there have been times I thought that I might need to commit myself. A little meditation - NOT medication - and a ***** session to a good friend usually clear that notion right out of my head.

I pretty much know I am. And about 90 percent of my friends have some type of mental disorder. Including myself.the only thing that keeps the other 10percent from knowing is the meds that make us semi-normal.
