If they are his friends, and it's his day let them come. You will be so busy organizing and serving and things that you probably won't really notice them there. Besides there will be so many other people there that you can quite easily ignore them anyway.

It's his birthday. Maybe you should keep it low-key and just have a special dinner and movie with you and him only and just dump the party bash idea as you might be asking for trouble having to invite his friends that you don't like, see what I mean?

Rethink this person as a boyfriend. Why does he have friends you don't like? Sounds like the two of you aren't a match.

IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE PARTY THEN YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO LET HIM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT
SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT HE INVITE, IF NOT THEN LET
HIM HAVE HIS DAY, AND BE THERE AS A LOVING GIRLFRIEND.

Well, it is HIS birthday...so I say suck it up a little, put a smile on your face, and make it a nice day for his sake.
