It is suppose to be a really good anti-depressant.....however, my sis went to the doc and thats what he gave her, and after two days of taking it as prescribed, we had to rush her to the hospital for severe hallucinations and paranoia....the ER doc said that it was one of the listed side effects of it....so just a word of caution just be really careful...After they got her straightened out, they wound up giving her Lexapro, and then he also put her on Ativan as she needs it on the worse days....they worked wonders for her....hope all works out great with you, just be really careful...

More than likely the medication will help but be patient. It takes time for ALL medications to regulate in the body.
If you do not see a significant change in two weeks re-visit the Dr.
May God Bless and keep you during this time as well.

I heard it has worked very well for people. Start with the lowest dose & see how it works for you. It has been known to dull pain. (Some breast cancer survivors have been given it after surgeries to cope with depression & it has helped with pain.) I have also heard that it has helped people to loose weight! Just be careful of caffeine & alcohol intake, as it intensifies the effects.

Dr.'s don't really know if it works... not until you say it does. One of the many side affects on this drug is -- exccessive sweating... They have other products such as: Wellbutrin, zoloft, etc. Try it-- if there's not side affects then you're good.
