Do you think it possible that if the Devil actually does exist; that maybe religion is a product of the Devil? Think about it, as the story goes the Devil has been around way before man. He is the father of lies; he is supposed to use the truth mix with lies to throw you off. Lead you astray. The Devil is also supposed to have powers beyond that of normal man and he is a good study of the bad nature in men. I put myself in his place so to speak, if I were the Devil I would use religion to throw every one off, it’s the perfect tool, moving through time manipulating man, fracturing the religions setting men in opposition to each other, this would make them blind to what I am doing because they would be too busy trying to figure out who is right and wrong, at the same time I could rob them of rational thought by using fear and faith, fear of eternal damnation and faith in the hope that what I am doing is right. what if the Bible was his manipulation. Your faith could be condeming you.

What ever is in the Bible you use to justify religion may only be a manipulation used by the Devil, remember he has had thousands of years to think of everything that you could in the puny year that you have been here on Earth.

The Bible describes Satan the Devil as "misleading the entire inhabited earth" (Revelation 12:9). 2 Corinthians 11:14 says of the Devil that he "keeps transforming himself into an angel of light". What, though, really is Satan? He's a demon of darkness. Satan makes bad things appear good, making darkness seem like the light of God. The next verse goes on to show that Satan has ministers. These ministers may or may not know it, but they are teaching lies and deceptions about God. After all, how many versions of the truth can there be? Isaiah 54:13 says that God's people are taught by God. Does God teach contradictions, big or small?
Here are some scriptures that show that the vast majority of people are not worshipping God according to the way He desires:

Here also are some common beliefs and an accompanying scripture that dispells it.

The Bible condemns the devil. Jesus defeated death ,the devil and sin. The devil hates the followers of Christ as well as those who do not follow Jesus Christ. Yes the devil most definitely exists, but he does not want you to read the bible because you will see what he really all about. Remember its man who is the sinner and Jesus is the Savior. The devil is clever and knows we are weak, but Jesus is victorious. Game Over!

The devil absolutely uses religion to deceive. But please do not confuse religion with RELATIONSHIP. I am not religious, but I have a personal relationship with the LORD. The devil cannot use the bible itself as a tool of deception, because it is God's Word. However he has been using perversions of the bible (all new versions are corrupted) to deceive. Final exposition: in the Garden, the serpent put doubt in Eve's mind about what God had said (Yea, hath God said?). Once the seed of doubt was planted, he then gave HIS version of the "truth" which was, "Ye shall not surely die." This was in opposition to God's Word to Adam. Satan has not changed his tactics since then.

The devil knows the bible from cover to cover and he will use it to trick Chrsitians to fall away from the word of God, using God's own words with a de-railing twist. That is called false prophets and false teachers. And they are in most religions who do not teach about salvation, or Jesus second coming, or the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose form the dead on the third day. I do agree with your post. Your faith can condem you only if you fall away from the word of God. That is why you are to read your bible every day, so you can listen to what you are being taught in Church, and recognize when something is said that you know for a fact that is not true, you can stand up and tell the people and the pastor that he is teaching false doctrine and not thte word of God;
I personally went to church and did just that. The so called bible study teacher was blaspheming God and twisting God's word ,and I got up and walked out. And everyone there knew why, because I told them as I was leaving The preacher said to me that he will have to pray about it, and I said "while you are praying, I'm finding me another church to attend". I now belong to a wonderful church. Prasie the Lord.

1) You are lost in a forest, there you see a house in the middle of the forest. you are certain that this house has been built by someone. you may not know who he is but you are dead sure that the house has a owner. WHY?
2)You dont see Infra-Red radiations, yet you believe its existence. you dont see the waves that are meitted while we talk, yet you can feel it. you have not seen a single galaxy yet you believe the presence of millions of galaxies. WHY?
3) You were not present when an Apple fell over Newton. And he discovered Gravity. yet you believe Newton discovered 'Gravity'. have you seen it? Yet you believe in the phenomenon called 'Gravity'.
4) Nobody knows where is the exact location of 'Mind' and the 'Soul' in the human body, yet millions accept its prescence.
If you can affirm all these without seeing them, Can not the whole of the universe be built by ALmighty GOD???

The philosophy of re-incarnation is all nonsense, You dont have to become a Computer for understanding the Computer, you can really be your normal self and just write the instruction manual, moreover if the machine is too coplicated you send an engineer with the manual.
Similarly, this complicated human machine needs guidance, so GOD sent Prophets to guide them with the INstruction manual.
Time by time, Prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses & Jesus came with their INstruction manuals and guided the humanity to the right path.
Till finally GOD chose Muhammed to complete the mission by sending him with the Quran and choosing as the last and final prophet. Is it not logical rather than GOD becoming a VCR to understand a VCR, becoming a donkey to understand the donkeys??? Rather ignorance.
GOD is ONE no matter what name you call him, BUT it should be a beautiful one with no mental picture or image linked to it. You cant compare GOD to anything inthis world. HE is The Absolute, Neither born, nor has any parents. There can be no image of HIM.
If you see any religious scripture, all state that GOD is ONE. But then still the followers of the respective religions, themselvews dont know that their own scripture speaks of ONE GOD. Then they even ascribe image to GOD and worship HIS 'Idols'.
Giving image to GOD is forbidden not only in Islam, but even Hinduism, Christianity etc. But you still find Idols and images in them. Open the Vedas and you find that The Vedas are strictly against Idol Worship. Open The Bible, it speaks against worshipping Jesus Christ himself.
The Only Religion that has held this principle is Islam. Meaning 'Submitting your Will to ALmighty GOD'.

The devil does not actually exist. He was made up by men because the earlier religions had a God that was horned, so in order to get them to convert they made their God "evil". God is all there is. There is no reason to believe that all the Devil would ever actually be able to be as strong as God, nor would the God ever actually lose to the devil. God is love. Love is all there is..>God is all there is.

I believe that you are absolutely correct!!
I, too have also thought that as well for a very long time now, and am surprised to find that I am not alone in believing that. Everything you said is exaclty what I have been thinking as well.
The only thing is I'm not completely sure about yet is the Bible itself. So, until I am sure I choose to believe that it is the Word Of God. I also believe in God and I believe in Jesus. I believe that God is very loving and very forgiving, and that the Devil uses people's ignorance and fear of going to hell to make them fear and hate God.
It's really a perfect plan, and mankind is just too blind to see it.

You answered Your own question. The devil is a product of Religion. Yes He will attempt to cause doubt, by deceit. The devil was an angel that fell from grace. He has power, but the power he processes, doesn't hold a candle to God's. God gives us the tools to defend ourselves from this evil. God can read Your thoughts, and He knows our hearts. The devil does not have the power to read our minds. That is why one has to openly, verbally, rebuke him. My faith is a blessing.

ah, but we know the truth through the Spirit of God...the bible is the truth and contains the word of God..and the fact that the bible and our faith gets attacked on a daily basis just reinforces our determination...but ur almost entirely correct...the devil does use religeon to devide men and keep them squabbling over doctrine. Your logic fails at the mention of the bible and faith tho... we live by faith in spiritual revelation of what the truth is...that cant be touched by Satan....we know what the real deal is.

It states in the Bible that Satan is loose on the earth right now and there is certainly evidence of that with all the wars,natural disasters happening, crime,etc,etc, but it also says that these are
"Signs" of the End Times and Jesus will come back to earth, Satan will be loose for 1000 years and then he will be bound forever and our earth will be restored to a natural paradise.
