We have been going out for almost nine months and I love this person dearly. I can't picture my life without them. They feels the exact same way, but I just don't know if they are ready for marriage? I mean I wouldn't marry right away, I would stay engaged for a while, but even mentioning marriage to them, would that scare them if they are not ready for that type of commitment?

just do what most women do, threaten them, either they agree to take the relationship to the next level or its goodbye and don't look back. oh, and be ready for either response.
try to look you know, serious when you say it, cause you have to be ready to follow through on your threat.
great way to marry, could last 5 or maybe 6 years...tops
then you just do it to someone else

It may scare them,
But it is worth the try.. mention to them as soon as you ask that big question that you would be engaged for a while so it kind of eases the pressure on them.
But your best bet would be to at least try to ask.
Im sure if she believes the same and feels the same way as you. then she is ready for the same thing as you are.
Just stay cool no matter what her decision is..
and be willing to wait if she needs to wait it out..
cause if you truly love her you will marry and wait...
what ever she wanted.. So why worry just go ahead grab some boldness and do it.
Get on your knees darlin and ask...
I know she will be thrilled inside and out to know this...
The best day of her life she will remember..
even if shes not ready yet...

Kimmy nothing personal, and I definitely do not know you, But If two people cant tell marriage is inevitable and havent even discussed it I don't really think you been together long enough or it isnt the right person because obviously you havent been able to discuss everything openly.
