You should be really happy you havent got it yet believe me!
Some people get theres really young, some not until in there late teens!
Dont fret about it, if your worried that you havent got it, how is the rest of your development going? If that is in full swing, go to your local GP just for peace of mind!
If you want to prepare yourself, search online and have a read at a womans health site or something along those lines! hope this helps.. take care

Nikki, you are totally normal. I started at 12 and my mother started at 18. Thats a big time frame, count yourself lucky. I thought something was wrong with me b/c I started so early. I hid my underwear from my mom for almost a year, b/c I was embarrassed. I've learned through the years that she is the best person to talk to about these things, remember that she was 13 at one time and went through the same things you are going through right now.

yes- it's normal. The age that you get you period varies from person to person. Asking your mom when she got hers prolly won't tell you exactly when yours will start anyway. I'm no doctor or anything like that but Id say wait a little like at least another year before you get worried about it. Then if you are really concerned go to the doctor. And believe me once it starts you'll wish it hadn't cause it sucks.

Depending on age, and the size of the body... REally. I started mine at age 13. some start at 14.The latest age I've heard of is at 19. it's normal that you haven't gotten it yet.

it depends how active you are too. if youre active 247 youre most likely to get it a little later and it isnt normal u havent had it bcause some people dont have it till high school. bsides, if u dont wanna ask ur mom look at her 14 yr old pictures and c how thin she was. and youll figure it out on ur own

I think its normal not to have one yet but usually before you get your first period you will notice kind of yellowish discharge but you don't have to have one.But I think if you don.t get one at the age of 15 go to your doctor just to be sure.Personaly I have had my first at 10 years of age .

its totally normal you havent had it yet, and trust me its not that great.

my aunt didnt get hers til she was 17!! and its still normal so dont fret about it too much,

be prepared by just having a spare pad in your bag, (and maybe even panties! lol)

Its hard to say when you will get it. usually they say 9-16. Try teenadviceonline.org. This should help with some of your question.
