Both Christianity and Islam are based on revelations of God claimed to have been heard by so called prophets directly from the voice of God which has no proof; rather the name of God is used to acquire respectability and universal acceptability.
Now the new generation have discovered as to how foolish their predecessors were that without questioning the authenticity they were accepting gospels as truth which are actually no more than gossips in black and white.

Man in general is hypocritical. People need to understand that we are human first so even though we strive to do the right thing we still are subject to fall. The sad thing is when we fall there are judgmental people waiting for it to happen. They don't see you in the wee hours when your prayingto GOD that you don't fall off the path again this week. They don't see when your struggling to do the right thing, but will capitalize on you when you fall so that they can say the famous line "AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN" No one ever said Christians were perfect in fact we are far from perfect. We stumble like everyone else. That is the part of us that lets us know we have not arrived and that we still have a long way to go.

Christians (born-again, tongue talkin spirit filled bible believing kind) practice righteousness and make mistakes but they never profess to be perfect - just forgiven. We are being perfected and thus are subject to walking in Love and the power of forgiveness which makes us right and humble all in one fell swoop. With God that is! :) Most people do not like it because we are happy to be free from guilt and fear and people just do not get it. I am not bound by mistakes that is why after repenting for a mistake (after receiving Jesus I am no longer a sinner) it doesn't exist, and I get to get up dust myself off again and keep on keeping on. Thus in some cases I may "look" like a hypocrite, but you should never judge a book by its cover! :)

You can be free too! :)

Because they do not act christian or religiously.
Because there claims are frail. They can fall off the moral wagon at any moment.
Because they say one thing and do another.
Because money is loved more.
What is christian or religion, but only to hear one say its better than some other religion.
It just has simply falling apart.
What can you call caring for each other?
The lack of care causes the deviation from chritianity, religion and hypocracy.

Many outspoken Christian are bigots, and give them rest of us a bad image-- this is true.

You need to meet the kind that practice their religion in the RIGHT way -- not openly or publicly... but humbly and quietly, the way we were told. =)

"Do not pray as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full." -- Matthew 6:2

Not all are, but you have to remember that man-made religions are just that, made by man. Therefore humans are going to make mistakes and will sometimes be hypocritical. What's silly are those individuals who jeopardize their faith because they're so busy looking at the wrong that Sally Sue and Joe Blow are doing.

I agree that some Christians are hypocritical, however, at the same time we are not perfect, only forgiven. Which, in it's own right, does not give us the right to live anyway we want. Jesus specifically taught us how we should live our lives. And to do that it takes time, an entire lifetime at that.

I cetainly do not single out Christians. I was born a Hindu but do not follow any religion... Christianity, in my opinion is one of the most tolerant religions...

I suppose man created religions for the sake of discipline, safety and as an outlet to pray to the almighty during a crisis. With generations however, every religious leader added his own flair to it till multiple religions began...protestants and catholics in chr..ty, sunnis and shias in islam, heenayanas and mahayanas in buddhism, swetambaras and digambaras in jainism and hundreds of subsects in hinduism...

With choice, we have competition and therefore intolerance and hypocracy...

Sometimes Christians are influenced by the world around them
and like any other human being can become disheartened leading them to become cynical or judgemental of their fellow
man.Every once in a while "True" Christians have to remember one of Jesus Christ's last commands(wishes) and that was to
"Love Your Fellow Man As Much As You Love Yourself."
