Even though you will find a site that tells you how much, make sure you check your grocery store to be sure you are doing the most economical and least time consuming task! That would be the fruits that you do not have to peel and/or cut (strawberries, blueberries, cherries, etc. others have to be cut but be aware of the seeds, i.e., pick cantelope over watermelon). Pick what is in season as well. Also remember that lemon juice is a must because it keeps the colors fresh in fruit (if you stick strawberries in with grapes, cantelope, etc., they will go light or white without lemon juice and not look attractive).
Pasta salad is pretty easy to make, but depending on where you live and your time, you may find that cheaper to purchase, and be aware of your kitchen limitations, i.e., storage, etc. I would do a cost analysis first and foremost, if you do not have the frig space, the bowls, the day-before time (yikes), then it might not be worth it for a few extra bucks.
I would suggest contacting the ladies group at the church, see if you can just buy the ingredients, they make it and store it at the church for you. I've done that and it's beneficial for the church, the ladies who enjoy doing that, and it gives you extra time and less worry.
