sometimes nicknames come from something happening at the time. for example, we were all trying to learn french when my daughter was two, so she started calling her grandfather Grampere - sort of babytalk/english for the french word for grandfather. We never did learn to speak much french, but now she's 33 and her brothers who were born later all call him Grampere. I think it's very sweet.
Maybe one day when you have an especially happy moment with your mom, you will be inspired and find the perfect name for her.

Well, my son calls me 'old person' and I call myself Mum, Mumsy, then there is the fact my grand kids call me Nana and my daughter calls me her angel. I would suggest you find the thing she helps you with the most, then work that into a nickname like maybe 'listener' or 'solver', maybe something more cutsie like 'helpie' or you could go by her appearance like 'tater', 'bean pole' 'rail' 'chickie' and so on. I am sure you can come up with better ones since you know her, but maybe this can get you started. Good luck!!

Umm... 'Mom'?

You should call her by her rightful title, and not a name.

Unless you're adopted or not related -only by marriage-

Then I could see the logic in giving her a loving nickname...

What is her name? That would help. =)

How about 'querida', or a foreign name for a loved person? ^_^
