knees and feet shoulder width apart, squat down slightly leaning forward as if sitting in a chair, sticking your butt out, also make sure knees don't go over toes. DO NOT KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT! Who the hell sits in a chair with thier back completely straight. Those people are idiots who are suggesting that. Your leaning forward into the squat, not anterioly tilting your pelvis

Ok first off get a weight belt cause it can be bad on your back if you dont, second and one of the most important things is to keep you back straight the whole time. Then all you want to do is stand on the heals of your feet shoulder width apart and go down until your thighs become about 85-90deg with your body. Almost like your going to sit in a chair. Then just go back up. But one more thing realy important... Dont bounce back up that is a good way to realy hurt yourself. And always have a spoter.

It is not a dumb question. Just try to keep your back straight and go down into the squat really slow then come back up fast.

SIT on a chair. Now, repeat that same motion but without a chair. Pressure on your heels instead of your knees. Press down on them... and then extend your butt out and keep your body upright. Your knees should not extend past your toes. Do it slowly for maximum effect.

stand staight and tall and bend at the knees not at the back.Use your knees to lift up and not your lower back.If it is for physical fitness then you want to keep your arms straight out to the side.
