80% nutrition and 20% working the muscles. Bodybuilders got this whole routine for contests that you can find somewhere on the net that will help. Muscles are made of a combination of things: I believe it is fat, protein and water. The muscle fibers you mention are the muscle cells.
I did pretty good with getting my body fat real low, at around 8.5%, to make my muscles show. I ran alot and ate whole food supplements. I rarely ever recommend taking a vitamin or mineral supplement. Man they make that stuff with some nasty chemicals and those can be potentially harmful to the human body. I recommend whole food supplements that have the vitamins and minerals in them the way nature intended. There are about 30% of plants and food and things in nature that science cannot even identify. Try stuff like bee pollen, spirulina, wheat germ, brewers yeast, flax seeds, hemp protein, etc. For weight lose and increases thermogenesis try coconut oil (cheaper to buy in the shredded form), yerba matte, green, black and oolong tea's, apple cider vinegar flushes fat cells, etc.
