An asian coworker was walking by and I think she thought that I said I hate Asian people and that they smell bad.

Personally I have NEVER known a smelly Asian person. I just don't like the smell of some Asian dishes.

Now I am worried that people will think I am racist. This woman is gossipy and we don't get along so I can't just go up and explain it to her.

My wife once got angry with me for using the word 'puke'. But honestly, that's what her stew tasted like.

I wouldn't worry too much she may not have heard you. and if she did she probably knows you meant the food. If you had been talking about the people you would have said "They" not "It". Anyway. I thought it was the Chinese who said we stink!

Explain that to one of her friends, that way if the subject comes up,she or he, can stick up for you.

I think you should not worry about it. If you are nice and polite to everyone and everyone knows you, then they probly know you are not racist.
