Okay, now, take all those rapist, burglars, kidnappers, murderers and Hitlers and put them all together. That is what hell will be like. If you think the things of this earth are bad, hell will be infinitely worse.
Would God send us there? Well, He has done everything He can to keep us out. He died so we wouldn't have to go there. We have to accept what He has done as payment for our sins. Anyone who doesn't want to accept heaven on God's (easy) terms wouldn't want to spend eternity with God anyway.
For instance, if I say that I've paid for you to have a free meal at a very expensive restaurant, all you have to do is go there, then it is not my fault that you refuse to go there to get it and you starve. I did what I could, but you have to make the decision to accept the gift.
Yes, God will allow those who don't want to go to heaven on His terms to go to hell. And frankly, I'm glad. I really do not want to spend eternity with the Hitlers of the world.

Did you know that the Catholic church after centuries has stated that a fiery hell does not exist. The idea of a burning hell is absolutely not supported in the bible. When the bible speaks of the lake of fire, it is speaking of a figurative place where incorrigible ones go, a place of nonexistent life. The bible also tells us that the wages of sin is death. The word "hell" is translated from the Hebrew language that means simply, the common grave grave of man kind. If you read ecl 9:5 and 9:10 you can learn more about what happens when we die.

But don't you think, after all this hell we deserve peace? Ie. heaven? There are two sides to every argument. God doesn't want us to go to hell, but do you really like the idea of all the murderers, rapists, bugalars etc going where you do? Don't you think you should be awarded in some way for not going to there level and becomming like them? sure life is hard, nowhere in the bible does it say it will be anything but. But as a christian, we have eternity in heaven to look forward to. And sure I get down, and even down right depressed at times. and i've thought "Why God? Why did you allow that to happen?" But over time I try to block that out, and think of what I have to look forward to if I try to keep on a "righteous" path.

No.
"Hell on Earth" is a relative thing. If you are from a Western country, your toughest day, might seem manageable to someone in the third world. Western society seems bent on attempting to ignore the harsh realities of life on Earth.
There cannot be bravery without danger, and a person cannot mature spiritually without being tested.
Hell may very well be dying, and seeing God in all his glory, and then knowing that you can NEVER partake in the joy. That is worse than anything we have seen thus far.

So you think that this is hell, huh? I'm certain in your mind this is as bad as it can get. Trying imagining being consciously aware of incredible pain and not being able to do anything about it, not even being able to scream out. Maybe that's hell.
My point is God gave us all free will. It's a gift and a curse all rolled into one. If you are truly a good person, you don't intentionally, consciously do bad things then you'll probably be alright.
But if you're one of those fence sitters that think "Well what difference does it make if I don't tell the bank teller she gave me back too much change?" then I'm of the mind to think payback of the almighty kind might be in your future.

The "hell" that we have here on earth is by man's doing. But hell is a real place in the afterlife. God does not "make" anyone go to hell. It is each person's individual decision (using their God-given free will). There is only one way to heaven and the Father, that is, by Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

No one has to go to hell! We all have a choice and I have chosen to go to heaven by simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Once you have done that you are "sealed up until the day of redemption" (Eph.Ch.2 V30) If any one goes to hell they do so by their own choice. Eternal life is given as a free gift and not on the basis of reward or good works but simply on the basis of faith. Why not claim your free gift today?

What kind of God would be so threatened that he must demand for us to worship him and do as he commands and then if we don't will punish us in everlasting torture? People not recognizing God in themselves are going through "hell" because they believe they are alone in this world We have chosen to "forget" that we ARE God. So when we die, we will be whole again with God. Remembering that we are GOD and away from the forgetfulness of this earth.

Right on MissDiva we need to expose the fraud in front of us. Hell was created for anyone and anything that rejects God. The devil, the devil's angels (demon spirits), and denouncing human spirits seperate from their bodies. Hell is real. Would you allow someone in your house who wants to rob you of it and kick you out of it. God forgives sin, but only while you are alive. Once you're dead it's too late.

It is their choice to go to hell. you have to accept Jesus and give him your sins and let him guide you. then you will have Peace like you never knew before. it's like getting a hug from God. He is my Father and I Love Him. and this was the best choice i ever made. Take Care
