i do not think they should. that is just to much control. it is an attrocity that we have so many people that have no respect for their bodies (or their childrens bodies that they let them follow the trend) of constantly eating fast food and not exercising, however if people continue to make these mistakes, it is their future, and if you try to control the nation's life to that extent, you might as well do gene therapy to every woman that is pregnant so her child will turn out perfect, keep a personilized eating chart for everyone, and decide every small fragment of their life that interfers with health.

Every time you give up your opportunity to make an intelligent decision on you own you give up some of you freedom. People should be educated about what is good for them and what is not. If the government decides that 10 %
fat is a guide line than everything you eat will have 10% fat and you will be as big as a house. Try thinking about what you eat as an individual and make the best choices for yourself.

No. Because what you decide to put in your body is your business, the government should have no regulation over such things. This is of course once you reach the age of majority (18+), previous to that, your parents should have the responsibility of regulating what you put in your body. The government's job is not to regulate the individual or its life, it is not there to protect you from yourself, or supply you with the tools you need to live. Any way in which the government does so is an infringement on your rights (so long as you are the age of majority, again minority ages are to be looked after by their parent or legal guardian).

Why? People in the government are fat too.
