I know it's confusing. You'll be ok, as long as you seek help, you'll be fine, and I'm trying to help you do that. You or no one deserves to be in a abusive relationship.

Try these. Many have hotlines in which you can actually talk to a person about it, and I believe they are free. Also, I know some actually might have chatrooms and you can talk about it there too. Also, to help you in your search, hop onto google and type in either "Mental Help Line" or something like that.

Please seek help! I was in an abusive marriage for years and was so scared to leave. I've included a website that gives great ideas of what to do before you leave. I think you need to prepare ahead of time if you've been in this relationship for a while. Make sure you have everything you need to take care of yourself. If you need immediate assistance, call the local Women's shelter in your area. It should be listed in the phone book, on line or either you can call information. Good Luck.

Your city should have an 800 number Hot Line for these types of problems. With a live Person on the other end to talk to..It would be best for you If you would call information. and get the numbers. Because searching on the internet is not going to help you ...CALL NOW Good luck

Here are some websites that might be useful:

http://www.faqfarm.com/Q/FAQ/1880

http://www.recovery-man.com/abusive/abusive.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abusive_relationship

Also, there are national hotlines for things like this:
http://www.ndvh.org/
You can call this phone number toll free from anywhere 24 hrs a day to talk to someone.

The first step is recognizing that you are in an abusive relationship. You can do this...and remember, you deserve to be with someone who treats you properly and who you treat properly. They are out there...I promise!

Good luck!

I know its difficult being in an abusive relationship. But there are alot of factors to consider here. You kinda need to give more imformation so I can help you better. Unfortunatly I have dealt with your kind of relationship far too much so I can really feel what you are going through but I need some specifics. Who is being abusive...over what...how long have you been together...who is initiating....how are you guys...do you drink... because this behavior can be alot of things in your enviorment.

Ask your Human Resources department if you have EAP - Employee Assistance Programs - usually they have a phone number to call and speak with a councelor. Also the following website may be helpful http://mentalhelp.net/

All the previous answers are good ones; and if you just can't take it ANYMORE, this very second, you can do what my sister did and call the cops and tell them you are going to kill yourself if nobody helps you now, and they will come to your house and take you to the nearest mental health facility (we have a mental health floor in our local hospital). Not the WISEST choice; but a choice nonetheless.

Your city should have a women's shelter or access to one. Check with the local YWCA or police main number. If you are at your wit's end and feel like you can't cope mentally, you can receive mental health care if you present in a crisis at the mental health care center in your area.

Close your eyes and pray to God for help and guidance. Then, once you're done praying, pack your bags and move. Never tell the guy you're leaving and never look back. No need for websites to tell you what you should do....I think you already know the answer to that. Good luck.
