No, you cannot win a war against people who are willing to kill themselves and there own children. And they really do not want us there. Besides, when we changed our country we had to do it our selves. Why can't they? I admit I am sorry for the way they live, but centuries of this is so ingrained in them, they really don't know how or,I suspect, really even want to change.

I think is is sad how short our memories have become. September 11, 2001 was not the beginning of the war on terrorism. Remember the First attack on the WTC? The USS Cole? The US Marine Barracks in Beirut?
9-11-2001 was only the largest in a series of attacks on Americans over the years, and I am glad that we finally have a leader in the White House who has the balls to stand up and say enough is enough. For all you nay sayers and guys and gals who do not have the courage to join, or even the courage to say that you cannot stand the military, for whatever reason, or that you hate the president, or that deep down you think America is the Bad guy, no matter what, you should be ashamed of yourself. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines know what they sign up for. Do not dishonor those who have fallen by saying that what they died for is a worthless cause. Have a little backbone and we will see this through. Act like a typical Democrat and the attacks will continue. You decide.

Saddam was never a threat to us! If he was why did we arrange for him to purchase weapons and provide him with Saran gas, among others. Even after the Gulf war we had many companies from the US and Great Britain selling Saddam items that could be used for WMD's because our Government provided them permission to sell them!

What we are doing now is putting our military in situations that most commanders would not approve. Caught in a civil war on one hand and a terrorist action on the other! That is a no win situation!

In addition, Bush has destabilized that whole region. Lacking a military force from Iraq, Iran and Syria are pretty much able to do what they want!

The vast majority of Iraqi want us there and are very thankful for everything our military has done for them; the reason it does not seem that way is that the terrorists (the VAST majority of whom are not Iraqis and do not give a flying gorram what happens to the country as long as Christians die) are the ones who get all the camera time. Not to mention the simple logic that the more terrorists die in Iraq, the less terrorists there are left over to die in the streets of New York after killing hundreds of Americans.

Okay, look:

OUR men are there so WE, yes US, can sleep soundly.

OUR MEN ARE THERE GIVING THEIR LIVES SO YOU CAN KEEP YOURS!

Do you see any thing here? In your neighborhood? No. Want to know why? Because Sudam, or however it's spelled, offered MONEY to terrorists, and said something like.. they'd give them $10,000 per American they killed.

Our soldiers are on the front line with guns pointed at them saying... "You want to kill Americans for 10k? Come and get us, we're right here".

The terrorists aren't gone hun, as you can see from the news. Just be proud that we have such good soldiers. Don't you dare compromise what they stand for by saying they shouldn't be there.

We're not just there to help Iraq. We're there for you and me.

Nor are we chasing "rumors". This is a war against Terrorists, not Iraq. Most just happen to reside in Iraq and nearby countries.

If you ask me, those who say to pull out now are being unpatriotic. You, as am I, are uninformed civilians. CIVILIANS! You go out there on the front line and THEN you can decide to preach on what our good soldiers SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do!

ALL OF YOU! YOUR'RE ALL UNINFORMED FOOLS! TALK TO SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN OUT THERE, AND KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON, RATHER THEN WHAT YOU HEAR OF GOSSIP!

NO!!! Your troops are being wounded and killed to set up a government that will form an alliance with Iran that is going to come back and bite you in the a$$. Please cut your losses and get your kids out of there. How many more 18-year-olds who were just trying to get funding for college have to die before this ends?

Yes, we need to be there. And only the evil people that are continuing to try and keep Iraq ran the way Saddam ran it, are the ones that truly want us out. As a Military wife, my husband and I have had friends that have served in Iraq, and they all have said that they are glad they served there, and we need to finish the job we started.

I believe U.S. troops should have been brought home a long time ago. I don't think Pres. Bush has come up with a reasonable plan to pull out of Iraq yet. Someone "dropped the ball" somewhere in this war. ~frowns

We have spent billions of dollars and lost american lives over there. How can you justify leaving now. We need to complete the mission. It would just be a huge waste to back down now. I am joining the military after I graduate from college, and I think it is sad that people think the way you do. GO USA!!!

Nope they should be safe at home.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The reasons given to start the invasion were false.

"Terror" is not a country. They are chasing shadows and rumors.
