In any way, did you live in the coastal states it hit, work to repair it, house anyone, anything?

I went to New Orleans with a group of co-workers and helped to provide emergency medical service to the people that were stuck in their houses for a week. My partner on the ambulance had sex with a soldier :-)

Yes. We all were! The price you paid for gas this morning is a direct result of the impact on the refinery business that Katrina destroyed 35 percent of.

And I live in Southern Louisiana

Yes, I was very much affected by Katrina.. I live outside of Dallas and I was trying to book a hotel room for some out of town company and there were NO rooms available. They were all booked up.. I've got to go.. It's just too painful to talk about it..

Yes we had twelve miles of fence down some of our cattle was injuried. The barn that had the horses in was totally collasped down on em. The chicken houses is nothing left. Hay crops fields were a mess. We strugglin make ends meet. We got half the stuff finally built back.

actually in a round about way yes-- thank GOD we weren't hit with devastation like that ,but building supplies went way up -- so they slowed down building houses because of the cost & when my husband had work to do sometimes they would have a hard time getting materials, so yes we have been fiancially burdened ever since - but i never thought about it until u posted this Q - I'm just glad to still have my house & not go through the pain they sufferd-- it could have very easily been in Ga.

No, I lived too far north for it to affect my home or anything. There was an influx of New Orleans kids at school though.

Not directly, but we all will be due to higher government spending do to the cost of rebuilding and recovering from those huricanes.
