I'm only in seventh grade and two girls have already asked me out. I told them "no". Why should you date that young? What would you do? Play with each other's SpongeBob toys? When my mom was in school, they didn't date until ninth or tenth grade. Why are the new generations growing up faster?

Wow! first off you sound older and more mature...i'm in the 9th grade and i've had bfs in the past(just at school things...we were too younge to meet outside of school) but never been on a date...I think you should wait till ur 16(i'm 15)(i hated it when my mom told me this when i was like 12) but then one of you most likely can drive and you don't have to get a ride w/ your mommy or someone else..cause that is lame..

suppose its fashion but admire you for caring, suppose we all want some one at some stage we some times think a relationship is always the answer when a simple friendship could do, i didnt date in highschool didnt really interest me....i believe its something that should start as friendship if thing progress towards romantic maybe it was inetended, just do what you feel is right and enjoy being young. im 23 and only had two serious relationships. and kindda glad i waited to til i was older so i was more aware of what the dating the world can bring, leaving your self availible why your young is sometimes opening up for you to be hurt and left vonrable....

100 years ago people the age of 14 were married and some even in college.
In my opinion, people need to grow up A LOT faster than they are now. There's way too many immature kids running around; 20 years old, still sponging off of the parents.

it is all in the cultural ways of life i mean kids are having sex now at nine and ten years old. I mean who is to say why some people feel ready at a young age and some people dont and i mean if u are not ready to date yet then dont do it. That does not make you bad i think that it makes you more mature than the others. I mean some people wait for a while to date because their main focus is on their schooling because they want to make something better of themselves but i mean look at t.v., and movies, and even most videogames i mean everything now days is based on sex and violence and some people develop their hormanal raging a lot earlier than others so dont date until you feel ready and dont let anyone pressure you into something that you dont want to do.

It's a new adventure. It doesn't usually mean anything. People way back when used to get married at like 14 or 15 so at least people aren't doing that now. One bit of advice don't have sex until your a lot older!!!!

Parents dont want you to know every thing.I had girl asking me out 30 years ago,I was seven.Plus , some parents, as long as they know the other kids,and know where to find them dont mind.Just make sure these girls arent fooling you.They like to play games too.

because they hit puberty at a young age,because they probably thinks it is okay,which is probably not.NO one should date until they are at least 17.Ideally I prefer if people started to date at 18 or 21.Young girls are growing up so fast,because of the poor socail values we have and because they see people around them act kinda of crazy,I think
