My first instinct would be to do the same thing to her. If she doesn't object, then you figure she is used to this type of behavior with family members or friends and doesn't realize that she is offending you. You can then explain to her, the next time she does it, that for you it is uncomfortable and tell her what you want her to do instead.

If she objects, then you get a very clear example of how she would like to be treated and the next time she does it to you, you will know just what to do.

I found I had the most success with this if I could put my computer where I will still be able to see the door making it unnatural for anyone to casually hangout behind me - though that can be hard in some cubicles.
