Root Beer counts as a fluid. ..

An excerpt from Oprah's book, Make the Connection, by Bob Greene:

Water needs vary with each individual, but in general, nutritionists still abide by the old rule of eight glasses - - 64 ounces - - or more of fluid a day. Water is your best bet, but it is certainly not the only way to get fluids. Fruit juice, seltzer, milk, lemonade, and soft drinks can also quench thirst. Alcohol and caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee do not count because they are actually diuretics, meaning they cause you to lose fluid rather than retain it. Food like soup, cucumbers, watermelon, lettuce, tomatoes, and oranges are high in water and good way to supplement your liquid intake.

I had gastric bypass about 6 months in the past im on a very strict food plan and they say to have a similar 64oz of water an afternoon as an time-honored man or woman needs. and they enable me water or any 0 calorie beverage like crystal lite i discover it a lot less complicated to drink extra of that than only undeniable water. in case you drink kool-help the sugars are too hig and tea or espresso has too a lot caffeine in it.

Actually anything containing water is considered a source of water.

The purest don't seem to get this but that caviar they ingested just before the Perrier could have been the same as mixing the two together and selling it as fish-egg water... mmm mmm good!
