Ive tried several things to get rid of it. it doesnt hurt, its alittle red. at first i thought it was a sty but its different. it looks like one. but its been there for so long. i think it might be caused by toxins trapped in my eye, body. i have two, very small ones under each eye but the're not noticeable. i really dont want to have to go to the doctor and at the moment dont have the funds. i deffinately dont want to have it surgically removed. Any info would be appreciated.

You mentioned that you've tried several things to get rid of it but did not mention what things exactly you did. If it truely is a chalazion you may require antibiotic, steriods, or surgical removal. In the meantime - if you haven't tried warm compresses and/or lid scrubs, please do. For lid scrubs it is often recommended to use baby shampoo on either a cotton pad, gauze or a Q-tip - have the applicator moistened and use a very small amount of shampoo. For your lower lid, tilt your chin down slightly and retract the lower lid slightly to expose the lid margin. Gently but firmly rub the applicator in a horizontal motion along hte base of hte lashes for the lenght of hte lower lid. Use a separate applicator for each eye. The gently rinse the lid area with warm water and dry with a clean face towel. Do no more than 10seconds per eye or 10 scrubs per eye. Perform once or twice daily.
Good luck!

My daughter had the same thing happen at about 3 months of age. We took her to the doctor adn then eye doctor and the eye doctor told me that is is just blocked blood vessels that would eventually need to be drained She is Two now and still has it as long as it doesnt block her vision its ok. it will evetually just need drained. But I am not a doctor so i would say go to the Eye doctor but I don't think it is an emergency type of thing. I hope this helps.

I really think you need to go to The ER and have them look at it... you only have two eyes do you want to loose one because of money? If you do go to the ER you will get a bill a few months later no big deal... just pay them $5.00 per mo....Good luck and GOD Bless you and yours...

my friend had alot of those on his eye. they were like extra skin that grew on his eyeball. the only way that he got rid of it was by getting it surgically removed. they are called skin tacks or something like that

sounds like a cyst or a wart or something like that. I had something like that once and popped it with a needle and it went away.
