Ladies, any bad experiences having a male room mate?

Its just I'm trying to live on my own and possibly find a room mate.

I am not a lady but I can tell you that I allowed a female roommate to "rent" a room where I lived before. To my experience it was just a bad thing. She stole from me, she never paid rent after a month. She made excuses of not having money, yet we worked in the same company and made the same amount of money. She partied her money away, she later started doing drugs and started stealing my stuff, and taking advantage of my hospitality.

I finally kicked her out and her friend that she on her own brought in. They had two incomes and yet could not even buy anything for the house and pay any bills. Worst experience in my life. But living with my girlfriend was different. Before you decide on a male or female make sure you know them pretty well first. Just my opinion.

men can be real slobs and they usually do not respect the rules is what i learned from any man that i have lived with i mean they leave their things lay around it is a oain trying to get them to clean up after themselves and omg dont go to the bathroom tired because they usually leave the toilet seat up and i swear that they love to watch us fall in. But if u do decide on a male roommate then make sure there is a lock on the bathroom door i dont know how many times i have heard woops i didnt know that u were in there.

I lived with one of my best friends for about 8 months. It almost destroyed our friendship!
Unless you're in love with a guy (and co-habitating) or he's gay, I wouldn't recommend just picking a guy friend to live with.

There was WAYYYYYY too much conflict of interest, different living styles, etc.

It drove me nuts! After he moved out, we didn't speak for nearly two months. We are now speaking again, but it's not the same as before.

By living with him, I lost something I'll not get back.

Worse idea I ever had.. The guy I lived with always walked around naked.. when someone on the door he would run towards his bedroom and get dressed.. Then when they leave.. He will start complaining about 'why you didn't tell me someone knocked?' and 'do you have any respect for people around you?' and 'you need to respect people if you want respect' and blah and blah!!

It depends, usually we snore (big time snore), we leave our underwear in the bathroom, we are a bit messy, thats for regular guy, I dont do any of those things, but it happens

Make sure your bedrooms are far apart. ANd make it clear just because you are a girl doesn't mean you will be doing all the housework
