One of the more interesting dates that I was on we went to a modern art museum and actually had dinner in the rotunda of the building while a blues band played in the background. There were about 8 couples total in this group, but each dining table was secluded and it made you feel like you were the only two people in the place... It was VERY romantic.. I actually had dinner under a Kandinsky..lol Another great idea is doing something that neither of you have ever done... for example a one night cooking class, ice skating, golf, dinner theatre, go to a ballroom dancing class together.. there are tons of amazing things to try and do.. just be spontanious and jump in there.

First dates, dinner and a movie or some other sort of attraction like a park or carnival.
Going on a date with your boyfriend/girlfriend - pack up a huge picnic or barbecue and go to the beach, go swimming and watch the sunset.
Get some takeout and go eat at the park, then play some sports then back to your/their place for coffee and a movie.
Have a romantic picnic at your place then go for a long walk.
Bike to a secluded spot with a picnic and then go for a hike exploring the area.
Go to a tiny little romantic restaurant and then go dancing till early morning and back to your place for a nightcap.

Try something besides the movies...Picnics or something else where you can talk and really get to know the person is better than sitting though a movie together and not talking.

if you like the person, try a comedy club. it gets things rolling if you are laughing and having a good time. stay away from the bar. you cant tell if someone is into you or just wants to "get into you" if you and/or they are intoxicated at all. Good Luck!

amusement parks, No matter how young or old you are, there still a lot of fun, and it puts less pressure on you to make conversation, because your just hanging out and having fun. and gives you a good excuse to hold hands or hug on rollercoasters etc

My ten year old says, "take your girl or boy (whatever turns you on) to the movies."
