What's all your thoughts about Sylvia Browne?

It seems like she could be for real, but there are some things that i could question.....so what do you all think?

She's a phony, no doubt. Not a bad actor, but I don't buy any of that.

I think Sylvia is a somewhat-gifted actor. She can con people into hearing what they WANT to hear. If someone asks, "is my mother OK on the other side?", Sylvia is not going to say, "no, your mother is burning in hell." People want assurances, and Sylvia will give those to them. Also, she can sense what a person is concerned about, because people give away clues when they talk to a psychic, and the psychic knows how to handle the conversation and comes across as knowing the future.

In reality, she doesn't know. Period. She is making it up as she goes along and as long as she can make it sound interersting and convincing, then that is all that is needed.

The other day, a person on Montel's show asked about a previous life and Sylvia told the woman she had had 51 lives, so which one did she want information about? Only 51? Is she sure she didn't have 151? And if the woman wanted info on life no. 23, what would Sylvia say? Again, more inventive conversation would develop.

As JT said, this is a clever way of conning people out of their money. They will PAY to hear these things, and sadly, there often is no way to reason with them. The WANT to hear these things, so as far as they are concerned, Sylvia (and others like her) are authentic.

If Sylvia is that good, why isn't she the President of the USA? She would know about terrorism before it occurs. There would be no Enron-type disasters because she would know of them before they happen. Natural disasters would have more disaster relief planning available when they are needed, etc. And she could avert wars by knowing what will happen (such as in the middle East) and then act accordingly.

only hear to her communicate. it is many times the comparable element with those human beings: they ask obscure questions and key in on involuntary physique language reactions. Sylvia Browne does it; John Edward does it; all of them do it. Now I experience that somebody right here thinks that i'm too skeptical. i'm feeling a J or an M interior the call. it could desire to be the 1st call or the middle call. Blah, blah, blah....

She is real. As far as just guessing the right thing I find that very hard to do considering some of what she comes out with their is no way that anyone would think of. Any ways she always says that she asks for God and the Christ conscious to guide her. Also just because she has a gift that doesn't make it evil. But if some not all ppl had open minds they would know that.

Why can't spirit gurus be somewhat normal people? Why do they have to be so darn eccentric all the time? If they have found out something that everyone should know, why can't they take the evidence to some scientists and have them investigate it? SOMEbody on the 'other side' should be able to help with that, d'ya think?
Otherwise, I find all paranormal things interesting. I hope Dick Cheney's secret anti-grav aircraft don't screw up the energy fields for the spirit world, though.

It is ever so clear to me that this lady who practices the things that are listed is not a woman of GOD and therefore is a satin worshiper. So please don't envolve yourself with this trickery!!!!!!!

If you have read the bible, it says to not turn to mediums or false profits, she's is really a medium, but still, it makes no difference what she says.

If you do the same techniques that she does, you can do as she does. It reports how in the bible, if you take the time to learn from it. Read it from cover to cover as I did and you will see it in their.

It's up to you to practice the God given techniques you have, turn off the TV and all other noise makers, turn into your own guide, which is in everyone of us.

I think that to become as famous as she is...she has to be able to do something!! Any wacko could make up stuff, but I guess people really believe her..! When she interacts with someone on the Montel show, she seems to really connect with the dead! The audience seems to be suprised that she really has a power!

I think she is a fake, I have seen her on Montel several times, and it really bothers me that she talks about God while doing what she is doing, although the Bible tells us that talking to the dead is not of God. I do believe that there are some people who work as physic detectives that actually do know what is going on. but She isn't even close to being one of them.
however, she is more believable than John Edwards, he uses the art of deduction to con people.
