This is probably not what you want to hear but what you're going through is a very common problem. Speaking on a personal note, I've been through what you are going through right now for about a year. I would get up in the morning and not have any drive to do anything. I have lost all ability to enjoy life and would most of my time at home. When it came close to night time, all I would want to do is go to my room and cry. I honestly can't tell you why I felt like that or why many other people feel this way but all I can tell is that it does get better. Just give it some tome. You are in a very vulnerable position right now and I know that you feel helpless but you just have to gather all your strength and "force" yourself to live life. Go out with your friends and/or family. Indulge yourself in some particular hobby, like a particular sport or activity. Just tell yourself that things will get better and I promise you they will. It might not happen tomorrow or the day after, but eventually things will look up. And like I said before, I speak from experience. If you ever want to talk, just shoot me an email (interelv@yahoo.com).

Keep track of the way you feel day to day; a calendar works well for this. Many things can be at play, but if after a few months you find a pattern, try to determine why it occurs. It could be as simple as PMS. It is also a good idea to go to your doctor and get a check-up to rule out physical causes. If it is true depression, your doctor can help you decide if you need medication or therapy.

You most likely are depressed.Or it could just be a girl thing if it's once a month.Never, ever hurt yourself.I know exactly how you feel completely about your whole description but the best thing you can do is get help. You might not think it's that bad now but go see a counselor.Don't just talk to a friend or family member because they can't always help.I really hope you get happy soon. You don't deserve to be sad,no one does.

I've felt the way that you've felt. I found out that I've got depression and I am actually taken medicine for it. I still go through it now. I've cried and cried! But I went through it a lot though. You may not be suffering through depression. What are you going through now? It may have to do with your past or & presence. What are you going through. You should talk to someone about it, atleast someone. Don't continue to just punch in walls, do something constructive. It's ok to cry about it.

It is probably Manic Depressive disorder. I have this too, though i'm not too sad right now... couple of things to know. Listening to both sad and happy songs helps. (Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield) It does get better. The most dangerous time is while you're coming out of the depression and you don't just feel like crap, you feel like you have the energy to hurt yourself. It means you're coming out. If you need a shoulder to cry on, e-mail me. My adress is the same as my screenname, on yahoo.

Sounds like PMS (Pre Menstrual Syndrome) to me. If this happen just before your period then maybe that is it. Talk with some other girls your age and see what they think. Also a older sister, if you have one, may be good to talk to. If it's real bad there are some medications that can help but you'll need to see a doctor first.

yea I had the same feeling sometimes. well, not sometimes, but most of the time. It might very well be depression and you need to seek medical help. You need to understand depression isn't sometime you can get rid of by yourself; depression is actually caused by chemical imbalance in your brain. Some girls also have severe depression before their period(much worse then normal PMS), and doctors can help you with that too.

Cry if ya wanna cry. It sounds like it's probably hormonal. Do ya get like this around your period time? If so it's not uncommon, alot of people go thru it. Maybe you could try asking your doctor they might be able to give you something to keep your hormones under control.
