These days a double scoop cone in an ice cream parlor costs as much as 5 quarts of ice cream at Smart & Final. So no point in going to an ice cream parlor for me. I'll take the 5 quarts.

My all time favourite ice cream parlor is "Brodricks Ice Cream" in the little village of Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada. It's a cute place, very old fashioned. It's been there for ages and it has ambiance. Whenever I find myself in the area (I live 8 hours away now) I always stop and I always get, peanut butter chocolate ice cream on a home made cone. YUMMMY!

Udder Delight Ice Cream House
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
It's all made there--high quality, very creamy, excellent traditional flavors. What makes Udder Delight stand out, however, is a willingness to create extremely strange varieties. Some work, some don't (mushroom flavor), but it's nice to have a chance to try something completely different.
The article below talks about the Udder Delight and its more interesting flavors. Though I like variety, I will not be trying the bacon.

I love the dairy bar at the University of Connecticut. They have some of the best ice cream anywhere! I always get something with chocolate and/or nuts.

BUD'S!
I'm from San Diego and my favorite place is in Ocean Beach, right on the water. The place is called Bud's and it's a really small, grass roots business. They have the yummiest creation - the Hot Waffle Sandwich! They take any type of ice cream you like (I like Spumoni) and smush it between two homemade hot waffles!!
It's so good its evil.

It doesn't matter where you go as long as they have Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. And to top it all off.... pour on some Heath Hard Shell. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
But if you are a connoisseur, then Cold Stone Creamery.
