Can't find it exactly but in Genesis 2:19 it states
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and what soever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. So they were created basically the same way as Adam. Rest assured that the animals will be with us in heaven. It just makes sense. He does not tell us everything, that is where faith must come in and take over.

Try Eccl 3:19

Ecclesiastes 3:19 (New International Version)

19 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath [a] ; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless.

I want to say firstly ..that the image of God is not ...the soul ..although I know the bible says He is a spirit and they that worship must in spirit and truth...The image of God is the way He made us...we are body soul and spirit..1 person 3 parts..that is the image of God in us...His likenesses are His characteristics...he is sovereign...He has dominion and power..He created all things..He is omnipotent..omniscient..these are some of characteristics...not all some...He made us with some of these likenesses...He gave us dominion and power..over his creation..He gave us creative and pro creative ability..He made us sovereign..freewill..so you see..we have some likenesses.....He made us a living soul ..Not only do we have breath which keeps us alive..but spirit..which is our character..our concious..mindand that is the difference between man and the animals..they have the breath...but not the spirit...NOW... technically the bible says all breath goes back to God..so they would go back to him..but not as dogs and cats and other animals...

If you want to read...and please ask the Lord to give you the meaning...but in 1 Corinthians 15th Chap you can read a little about animals....here is a verse that should sum up things... 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. letting us know there is a difference in the flesh and spirit but it is only to mankind that we have a spiritual body....God bless

Animals do not have souls__they are souls, just as you and I are souls. Revelation 16:3: And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea." Genesis 2:7: "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Ezekiel 18:20 : "The soul that sinneth, it shall die--"

i hope that animals will go to heaven. Jesus said that His Father new of the falling of each sparrow....

that they have souls, i do not know. the "image of God" is the soul, not a cloned image of the figure of God.

There's no such thing as a "soul", so no, they don't have them, regardless of what the Bible says. Love your pets while you and they are still alive.

MAN was created in the image of God and in his likeness (meaning we have spirits/souls just like god is spirit and we have morals. animals DONT have spirits and don't have morals since they aren't created in the image and likeness of God. read genesis chapters 1 and 2. peace.
