no but i can relate. i have to fight the depersonalization. i was abused sexually from 8 to 10 yrs old. iwas at a party and started talking to this girl who was in the same situation, even abused at the same ages. what she told me has helped me alot. dont think of yourself as a victim, but as a survivor, because we are. same as you. you are the only one who can fix it, she did it, i did it, and you can do it. forget about the shrinks and the medication, unless it the fun stuff. what is important is, most people arnt bad, learning to trust is a big step, kinda tough, but you can do it. take care.

No, under no circumstances. If that ever did ensue.. i will call my different sibling to conquer up this undesirable sibling. certain, I did wade through from an abusive sibling.. some time previous even as i changed into 5 to 12. Now i'm older.. This large undesirable wolf won't be able to do squat to me anymore.. we are now brothers then only a stranger. YUP. Sorry to take heed to about your tale guy.. keep your chin up and stay sturdy guy.. existence receives extra proper for you quickly.

Yes..........untreated panic attacks and Depersonalization feel dangerous but it's just the body's "Fight or Flight" response.

Effexor, Luvox, Xanax and Ativan all are superb meds(with some side effects) which can help.

Talk Therapy is very effective as well.

The one thing to remember is self-Monitoring(Self Checking) to see if you're alive or "Normal" IS normal with Depersonalization and or Panic Attacks.

Btw---Exercise can help too.........

I may have mild symptoms of the disorder. There have been instances where I've employed shifting personality states or blocking out unpleasant instances in order to 'deal with' the painful nature of situations.
