It's because they are ignorant and uneducated and following the traditions instead of the Word of God

They are busy sucking up to the Holy Spirit, who they are sure hates divorce becaue it isn't what they know God wants for all human people.

Which doesn't quite make sense because the apostle Paul says quite clearly it is better to keep you pants zipped up and NEVER get married.

There's also an element of shrill hypocrisy in some "Christian" offense taken at divorce --since Pentacostals and Evangelicals have higher divorce rates and higher domestic violence rates than the population at large. Shocked? "That's what happens when you worship hysteria."

Both. I used to be a devout catholic but now I can think with my own brain instead of having other people do the logical thinking and brainwashing for me. There's nothing wrong with getting a divorce because it'll just end up hurting both partners. And there's nothing wrong with being gay either because they're not hurting anyone at all.

Not offended. Just saddened. Divorce was never in the Creator's plan, but was the result of hardened hearts that cannot forgive. That is truth. Just deal with it. Divorce is sad and destructive.

It's because they know it's wrong, but they also know that half of them do it anyway.

Not to mention, humans in general, become offended when having their faults pointed out in a public forum.

The shameful part is that they know they don't like it, but enjoy pointing out other people's faults and gleefully report that god intends the other people to burn in an eternal hell for them.

Go figure...

Perhaps because so many Christians are also divorced like the rest of the world.

Divorce is not something to be proud of in almost any religion, if someone gets offended, they are probably embarrassed.

Because most christians(Catholics especially) believe that divorce is an abomination and I should know because I am one and that is what my mother has always told me.
