The tanks the Israelis are using are the Merkava Mk4. They are a product of Israel not the US. The US does supply the Israelis with M-113's they are the short square "tanks" with a machine gun on top. The reason that I put tank in quotes is that the M113 is an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC). The Israelis receive allot of weaponry from other nations such as the Centurion tank from England and even captured T-34's from Syria. The Israeli Army is very adept at transforming existing technology to fit the current needs. Check out the link below they even tricked out a CAT bulldozer.

IMF uses the MARKAVA battle tank, which the Israeli Military designed and produces. It is said to be as good if not better than the American Made M-1 Abrams.

For the most part, Isreal uses the same armament as the United States. Sherman tanks I believe is what they are using now. I could be wrong.

The self propelled guns you see on the news are not tanks. The distiction is that a SPG is not intended to be fired while moving.
