againist gospel mimes? I'm one and there's nothing wrong with them.

Our church has a mime team that performs at least once a month if not more. I think it is like other areas of worship.People get use to the way things have been done in the past and they don't want to change.Give them a chance to get use to the idea and they will like it.Remember though, anything that causes a division is a dangerous thing so don't push too hard.The devil can use it to bring disunity within the church. I will be in prayer for your situation that it can be resolved in such a way that you can continue to do what you enjoy doing for God.
