Unless your cat does a nose dive in a trash dumpster, it shouldn't smell. If you don't change the litter box on a regular basis that SMELLS. Imagine if you didn't flush your toilet for a few days how that would smell.

Cats are really good about grooming themselves. If your cat doesn't groom itself and starts to smell then your cat may be seriously ill and you should talk to your vet.

No cats are very clean animals..however plan on scooping the cat box out everyday if you dont want the smell..And of course they can smell bad anything can if not cared for properly..

No, they don't. Cats are meticulous animals, and are constantly cleaning themselves. However, if you don't fix your male cat and he starts to 'spray' to mark his territory, it DOES smell, and it's hard to get rid of that smell. It will also smell if you don't regularly change/clean out the litter box. I clean out my cat's box every single day, and you would never know a cat lives here by the smell because it DOESN'T smell. Don't blame cats for things that are their lazy owner's fault.

I have two cats and if you keep them indoors, they smell just like your house. If you keep them outdoors, they're most likely going to smell bad. and if you'd like, you could give your cats a monthly bath using a cat shampoo which would help the odor. (But don't bathe them more than once every 3 weeks!) Good-luck.

Usually, the cat itself doesn't smell bad, it's usually the - if I may be blunt - poop it creats. Just have a litter box and a lot of bounty handy.

Only the litter box. The cat itself is clean because it washes itself, they smell fine.

The cat itself no, but all feces smells like well, feces. Normally cats use the bathroom inside and are trained.

Everyone is different and sensitive to different things, just think of different allergies.

if you want a cat, get one! cats dont smell bad at all... as long as you dont mind tending to the litter box... if you let it sit without cleaning it, it will smell horrible

The actual cat doesn't smell too bad - but what they produce sure does!
