A sweetheart neckline is one of the few that I've seen that is flattering to everyone. Just make sure that the dress is altered so that it fits you correctly. No gapping, or sagging, which would call attention to your smaller bustline. A padded bra will add a bit, if you decide to wear one, make sure that you wear the same one for your fitting. Have a wonderful wedding.

You should definitely go into a bridal shop and and ask to try on a gown with a similar neckline. Chances are that you will still love it. The thing about those guidelines...they are so general! It's like saying that all yellow or olive skinned people shouldn't wear the color yellow. Sometimes those "rules" make sense but sometimes they are completely rong. It's true though that sometimes a sweetheart neckline can minimize the bust a little bit, but not all that much.
Even so - just to be sure that you like the style on yourself, you should go try on a similar one. As long as the top looks the same you can just look at how your bust fits in the dress and if you don't like the effect you can always keep looking. Good luck!

I understand your desire to have a sweetheart neckline - very romantic! However, I must stress to you that it is never a good idea to order a dress that you will have to pay for with out ever actually trying on that very same dress. Regardless of how other sweetheart necklines look on you, you want to know exactly how the dress you picked out looks on you. Then, you need a wizard of an alteration seamstress if you need important things redone. Don't order any dress you haven't tried on. This is your wedding, hopefully the only one you'll ever have! You want everything about how you look, you - the centerpiece of it all - to be the best possible!

If you really love the dress, get it. Sometimes the typical suggestions are different...you may put the dress on and love it. Although, I have always found buying dresses online to be a little tricky. If you want to be 100% secure in your decision, see if there isn't a store that carries the dress so you would be able to go try it on.

Lucky you! a small bust is much easier to enhance than a large bust is to reduce!
Make sure you get adequate padding or a good push up bra and you'll be fine. If you want to be sure, though, try to try on a similar dress in a boutique and see how you like it on you. It's always a good idea to try on a dress before you buy it.
Good luck though! I'm sure it'll be fine. :o)

try a dress on in a similar style in a bridal shop, then you will be able to see the effect of the neck line. I would not risk buying a wedding dress you had not tried on before the big day, sometimes things look great in pictures but awful in real life, it's a big risk to take.

You shouldn't order a dress with out trying it on first. Just b/c you like the look of the dress in on the model doesn't mean it will look the same on you. If you are able to try it on and YOU like the way it looks then go for it ... it's your day.

Have you actually tried the gown on? That makes a big difference, you can't pick a gown out of a book, it never looks like that on you, unless you're model. Are you a model? My advice for choosing a gown is always to go to a bridal shop and try different styles on. I would never have picked out my gown, the sales lady picked it out and recommend I try it on. I knew it was the one, but like I said I would never have picked it from a picture or by looking at it on the hanger. So try them on, and remember the seamtress can sew cups into the bustline, or even two sets of cups.

It all depends on what you think you look like in the dress. But if you still want to shop around, depending on where you are from, there is a chain bridal shop called Southern Bridal. They have dresses that you can try on and take home the same day. It came in handy for me, because i am planning a wedding in three months.

You can wear a sweetheart neckline just wear a bra that can give you some cleavage and wear that when you have it fitted and altered. A corset underneath might work too
